Floating Oak Cabinet

Several of our customers have asked us to build gravity defying cabinets that appear to “float” above the floor.

One recent example was this four-door media cabinet for clients in Inverurie. The cabinet was made in first grade European Oak with the four doors made from a single board of locally grown Pippy Oak.

To ensure perfect stability we veneered the Oak onto an inner carcass of high-quality Birch plywood. The doors are fitted with touch to release mechanisms and the piece was finished with a satin sheen hardwearing lacquer.
